Hi everyone! Thank you to everyone who joined us while I broadcasted live from my studio for the MARCH live session last week. We had a fun and spirited group from around the world. If you missed the live event, the OPEN STUDIO LIVE rebroadcast is available now.

These events are totally unscripted with no agenda or plan. I just turn on the camera and I share whatever is sitting on my desk at the moment. Also, I open up the discussion for your questions and let that guide the content throughout the hour.

During these monthly sessions, I share a little behind the scenes of what's been happening in my studio, talk about my favorite resources like books or tools, and unbox new products I've been sent or bought recently PLUS give you peeks inside my art journals and INSPIRATION sketchbooks.

Here are the books I shared during this month's live stream...

For future events, I'll invite some of my artist friends to join me for "creative conversations" and plan to do a few based on a mixed media or creative business theme. I love this LIVE format, it's like a virtual PLAY date and the interaction that happens in the chat is fabulous. Hopefully, some of you will join me live on screen in upcoming sessions too. The days and times will vary since we have an international audience. But if you miss the live event, the replay is available right after it ends.

We talk art. life. creativity. art journals. creative business and more! Read on for more about this months show.

CREATIVE TOOLBOX

One of the things I LOVE is to experiment with new products and test a variety of mixed media on paper. I want to see how the products work together...there is no expectations..just PLAY. I share the process with you in my open studios.

The photo above shows the painting that unfolded as I talked about ideas on how to jumpstart your canvas or art journal page using a few swipes of Distress Oxide ink pads mixed with #tracibautistaCOLOR inks + paints.

Here are the supplies I used during the session..

you can watch the replay right here in this post or click the link below to be taken to Crowdcast. Enjoy!
