How do you use a sketchbook in your creative process? Do you work in a digital sketchbook, physical or both?

This week I’m sharing a video from my WILD BLOOMS library, In the video I talk a bit about the creative journey behind my current body of work, WILD BLOOMS. 

I dive into ideas about creating a consistent daily sketch practice as I give you a tour through the process of drawing in my sketchbooks using various brush pens, I talk about how I incorporate the iPad and Procreate into my process along with how I use inspiration photos to jumpstart my mark making for my WILD BLOOMS artwork collection.

My digital artwork is created in Procreate, Illustrator iPad and Photoshop iPad. Back in May, I started a daily sketch project on my iPad which then led to drawing in my physical sketchbook. You’ll see some of my floral motifs unfold in the video.

As for supplies in this video, I share about some of my favorite black pens for sketching and show a quick demo of how I use the inspiration photos for my sketchbook practice.
