MELT + MIX: Winter Landscapes Confetti Cakes is a moody, earthy remix inspired by the Luminous Winter color story—deep berry woods, evergreen shadows, warm stone neutrals, and a night-sky blue that glows with silver shimmer sparkle.
Confetti Wax Cakes are a pigment-rich, multicolored heat-activated wax color tool poured in a 2 oz stainless steel tin.
HOW TO USE:
- Warm the tin on a hot plate or griddle to melt and mix custom palettes
- break chunks or pieces from the confetti cakes for mark making and drawing
- mix pieces of confetti cakes to create custom colors
- paint wax onto paper
- stain papers & build collage layers
- pull printmaking textures. They also blend beautifully with wax medium or oil paint to create dimensional, tactile surfaces.
These Confetti Wax Cakes were born from my favorite studio moment: the in-between stage—when the table is a mess, the scraps are gorgeous, and the “leftovers” are actually the start of your next color story.
Think of them as a cake-format variation of #tracibautistaCOLOR MONOPRINT WAX sticks/bars, poured and layered into a reusable tin, then topped with a confetti-like mix of wax bits, metallic flakes, micro glitter, and pigment-rich fragments. Each tin is a tiny landscape of possibility—made to be warmed, remixed, and reimagined as you build custom palettes, explore wax resist, create warm collage layers, and play with heated plate textures and print pulls.
