digitalCANVAS IS TRACI'S ALL-NEW 7-week signature course. If you want to explore mixed media, surface pattern design and digital collage in Procreate, this is the only course of its kind!

The iPad and a handful of apps have become a huge part of every stage of my creative work. From ideation to creating color palettes from photos, to sketching, making videos for IG, to designing digital products and physical products like stamps and stencils. It has changed the way I approach my creative practice.

In this comprehensive program specifically created for mixed media artists, you’ll explore all the possibilities of using Procreate in your creative process.

Explore how to combine traditional and digital mixed media techniques to generate ideas for your next body of artwork or surface pattern designs. Paint florals, draw hand-lettered projects, design Procreate brushes, freestyle patterns or printable collage sheets. Learn how to turn your art journal and sketchbook motif s & doodles into digital brushes, stencils, and stamps.

During the online program, you'll create a DIGITAL INSPIRATION SKETCHBOOK...which includes gathering inspiration photos and color palettes to recording journal reflections and painting/sketching on the iPad, you’ll continue to work on developing your visual vocabulary and unique artistic style.

Unlike other digital painting classes using Procreate, this immersive online program is the ONLY class of its kind that fuses mixed media with digital painting and focuses on surface pattern design along with adding a digital element into your creative workflow while you create a DIGITAL INSPIRATION SKETCHBOOK.

PROGRAM FORMAT | HD video tutorials, LIVE steam online real-time painting + Q & A sessions, these are streaming HD video broadcasts from my studio. {video replays are available if you can't make the LIVE event}. All videos and class content have 24/7 "2022/2023 class lifetime access" and are available to be viewed on most smartphones and tablets with a high-speed wifi connection.

PROGRAM FORMAT | A detailed schedule will be provided in January 2022. The course has a mix of pre-recorded HD video and LIVE stream painting/Q & As, OPEN STUDIO sessions. Don't worry if you can't make the LIVE events, the replay will be available right after the live event ends.

CLASS LIFETIME ACCESS | to 2022 version of digitalCANVAS. This means you have access to this course until it's retired, it does not include future version of this program

ART SUPPLIES | various watermedia, brushes, black pen. use what you have in your studio. I'll be using #tracibautistaCOLOR paints & inks along with Golden paints

APPS | Procreate and Noteshelf2 apps, Procreate Pocket {optional},

IPAD & STYLUS | I’ll be working on an 12.9" iPad Pro {2018} and using an Apple Pencil 2. If you have early versions of the iPad or a different stylus you can still join this course but some of the updated features in Procreate may not be available. Keep in mind I used Procreate on an iPad mini {first generation} and a Wacom Bamboo stylus for about 5 years before I upgraded to my new iPad. So a lot of my digital work was created on what is now an ancient iPad..lol. This course is suited for beginner to advanced students.
