C7.alchemy{luster}" is inspired by the rich colors of rocks, minerals & crystals. each color is handcrafted by me from an organic binder & various pigments in my color lab. the colors have a slight luster when light hits them and a slightly gritty texture.
ABOUT THE PAINT: limited edition handcrafted artisan paints created by traci bautista. Each collection is one-of-a-kind. There are limited quantities and once they are gone, that is it.
The colors create a number of textured effects depending on the substrate, type of paper and the amount of water used when they are applied. The magic unfolds as the colors dry and the pigments start to separate. The colors have a luster when light gently hits the surface and some have a slightly gritty texture.
Due to the unique handcrafted manufacturing process of this product the color swatches in the photos may be different. Colors are created in small batches which results in each set being slightly different.
COLOR PALETTE: {CORDIERITE} is inspired by cordierite, a dark blue mineral occurring chiefly in metamorphic rocks. Pleochroic materials appear to be different colors when viewed from different directions. When viewed from the direction that produces its most attractive color, most cordierite is a distinct blue to violet in color. It is one of the most strongly pleochroic minerals. Specimens that produce a strong violet color can be rotated to produce light violet or dark yellow hues. Specimens that produce a strong blue color can be rotated to produce yellow or colorless hues.
