It’s FALL season in the paint making studio 🍁 In this weeks video, I hosted a LIVE IN THE PAINT STUDIO session all about painting with #tracibautistaCOLOR, handmade watercolors, PIGMENT BARS and stencils.

During the LIVE event, I talked a little about my paintmaking journey, my upcoming paint subscriptions and I shared a BTS peek into my latest handcrafted mixed media collections…including my NEW PIGMENT BARS!!

I also share a bunch of paint swatch samples and talk about my favorite papers to use with the PIGMENT BARS.

The PIGMENT BARS are richly pigmented wax drawing bars and painting blocks have the creamy consistency of an oil bar and oil pastels. I did a little abstract paint swatching with the new AUTUMN collection and showed a few mixed media layering techniques with my handcrafted watercolors and StencilGirl stencils.

Created with the mixed media artist in mind, the PIGMENT BARS are richly pigmented wax drawing bars and painting blocks have the creamy consistency of an oil bar and oil pastels.

The PIGMENT BARS are wax paints handcrafted with a blend of waxes {organic soy & organic beeswax} and a mixture of natural earth pigments and micas. Some have different variations of metallic sheen and multiple pigments.

They have a beautiful, creamy consistency and deposit a lot of color. They can be layered over each other to create vibrant color mixes and blended with a blender bar, your fingers or a brush. They can be used over or under my handmade watercolors, as a resist with watercolor, with water soluble pencils and brushed through with stencils plus a plethora of mixed media techniques.
